How the coronation day unfolded for a royal superfan

Royalists travelled to London from around the world for the coronation of King Charles III, with many camping out for days to watch the royal procession pass by in a once-in-a-generation spectacle.
Alison Bray from Yorkshire arrived on the mall on Thursday evening to secure a prime spot, soak in the atmosphere, and pledge her allegiance to the new monarch.
We followed Alison’s journey throughout the day – through torrential rain, protests, and hardly any sleep – to find out why she chose to camp out and be part of the occasion.
