Baku/06.03.22/ A workers’ strike took place this morning in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan) at the enterprise of the international Turkish construction company “Gemont”.
As the press service of the executive committee of the Nizhnekamsk district told BUSINESS Online, the strike at the Gemont is the result of a sharp jump in the dollar, a daily increase in the exchange rate. The workers did not like that they were paid their wages at the old rate. The employees’ demand was to reimburse the difference.
“The General director of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Airat Safin, who came to the rally, resolved the situation by providing a deadline for the payment of the amount of money according to the register provided by LLC Gemont until 14:00 of the current day. LLC “Gemont” has compiled a payroll register at the rate of 90 rubles per dollar agreed with the workers. By the end of the day, wages will be transferred to all workers of the enterprise,” the press service noted.—0—
