Prince Harry – live: Duke says British press ‘pitch’ William and Kate against him in latest interview
Prince Harry has said the British press “pitched” the Prince and Princess of Wales against him and the Duchess of Sussex in his latest interview.
Speaking on Good Morning America, Harry said there has always been competition between him and his brother the Prince of Wales, and he has referred to the British press’s part in it.
The Duke said: “They pitch the Waleses, which Kate and William are now, against the Sussexes, me and my wife.
“They always pitched us against each other. They pitch Kate and Meghan against each other.”
Asked if he thought this then made the two women “go against each other”, he said yes “without question”.
The interview is the most recent ahead of the launch of his memoir Spare which takes a deep dive into behind the scenes conflicts in the royal family.
It follows “disappointing” ratings from the Duke’s interview with ITV interview with Tom Brady, despite addressing an explosive set of issues.
