Putin told Erdogan that the requirements for Kiev have not changedPolitics

Baku/06.03.22/ Turkey is ready to make a feasible contribution to the peaceful solution of the Ukrainian problem as soon as possible,  said the  Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, March 6, Anadolu reports.

Erdogan also stressed the importance of urgent steps to achieve a ceasefire, open humanitarian corridors and sign a peace agreement. “Let’s pave the way for peace together,” the Turkish president said.

The Turkish leader called for a general ceasefire in Ukraine as a matter of urgency. An urgent general ceasefire will not only solve humanitarian problems in the region, but will also make it possible to find a political solution, the head of state said.

Turkey is in constant contact with the Ukrainian side and other countries and will continue to make efforts to conduct comprehensive negotiations and achieve results, Erdogan added.

According to the Kremlin press service, Putin said that the suspension of the Russian military operation in Ukraine is possible only if Kiev stops hostilities and fulfills Moscow’s demands. It is reported that the talk is about the neutral non-nuclear status of Ukraine, the mandatory demilitarization and denazification of the country. In addition, Russia expects the recognition of the ownership of Crimea and the sovereignty of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR) within the administrative boundaries of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.—0—
