Baku/09.03.22/ Armenian formations in Karabakh shelled Azerbaijani positions in the Khojaly and Geranboy regions from noon on March 8 until the morning of March 9, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported in the morning of March 9.
“In order to prevent provocations, the Azerbaijani units stationed in those areas took retaliatory measures,” the press release reads.
At present, the situation in these areas is stable, the military department notes.
“We state that Azerbaijani army does not strike at civil infrastructure, but only at the positions of illegal Armenian armed formations,” the press release stresses.-06B-
