Two people were killed and a child seriously injured after a car collided with a family in Kent.
The incident happened outside a multi-storey car park on Leopold Street, Ramsgate at around 9.35pm on Wednesday, 10 August.
Kent Police said a black Alfa Romeo was involved in a collision with five pedestrians, all members of the same family, including a man in his 80s and a woman in her 30s who both sadly died a short time afterwards.
A girl of primary school age also suffered serious injuries and has been taken to a London hospital for treatment.
A man in his 40s and a boy of primary school age sustained minor injuries, the force said.
Officers said they arrested a 30 -year-old man from Ramsgate on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and leaving the scene of a collision.
He is also currently receiving hospital treatment for minor injuries.
The force issued an appeal for anyone who might have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Enquiries into the incident are being carried out by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit who are keen to hear from any witnesses, local businesses with CCTV evidence or drivers with relevant dashcam footage.

In a separate incident in June, two pensioners were killed and a third person injured when a car collided with a van in Northamptonshire.
The pair were travelling on the A427 Harborough Road, near Brampton Ash at around 12:35pm when their blue Vauxhall Agila collided with a blue Renault Master van travelling in the opposite direction.
A passenger in the Vauxhall Agila – a woman in her 80s – was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver – a man in his 80s – was taken to the University Hospital Coventry, where he died.
The driver of the Renault van – a man in his 50s – was taken to University Hospital Coventry with minor injuries.
