Baku/25.02.21/ Activists of the Movement “Democracy – 1918” (D18) held a rally on Friday in front of the Ukrainian Embassy in Baku. They expressed support for the people of Ukraine in the conflict with Russia.
“Russia encroached on the territorial integrity of Ukraine by starting a war against this country. Russia has always pursued an occupational and exploitative policy towards neighboring states. A few years ago, it occupied part of neighboring and fraternal Georgia, and now it wants to seize the whole of Ukraine, said the head of the organization, Ahmed Mammadli.
The protesters demanded that Russia abandon its imperial policy, recognize the sovereignty of Ukraine and withdraw its troops from the country. At the end of the action, its participants chanted: “Glory to Ukraine!” The action ended without incident. -21C-
