A body has been pulled from the River Thames after a search for a man who disappeared.
Emergency services were called to a part of the water near a sailing club in Shepperton, Surrey on Thursday evening following reports that a man had gone underwater but did not resurface.
A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “Sadly a man’s body was recovered from the river in the early hours of this morning. His next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.”
