Kate Middleton cancer – latest: William’s response to Harry and Meghan’s support message was not ‘warm’
Prince William’s response to Prince Harry and Meghan’s text message of support was reportedly “engineered by the palace”, as the two royal couples remain estranged.
According to royal expert Tom Quinn, the Sussexes contacted the Prince and Princess of Wales following her cancer diagnosis but didn’t include any suggestion the brothers “should make up and let bygones be bygones”.
He added that it was “hardly the kind of warm, informal response” expected between two brothers, while it has previously been reported that Harry and Meghan discovered the news through a television announcement.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not told about Kate’s cancer diagnosis in advance as they are not trusted by the family, a royal expert claimed.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun he believed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t told about Kate’s battle with the disease due to “endless problems” caused for the Royal Family.
“The reason of course is that for some four years, they’ve caused endless problems for the Royal Family and so they can’t be trusted,” he said.
